In September 2006, the Council established a forum on minority issues. The forum will provide expertise on issues related to national or ethnic, religious and linguistic minorities to the work of the independent expert on minority issues. The Forum will meet annually for two working days and will hold its first session from 15 to 16 December 2008. For more information, see the OHCHR page.
