Human Rights Defenders Consultations |

ISHR has sponsored and participated in several consultations on human rights defenders in Latin America.
In these consultations, defenders have assessed their situation and the impact of national protection initiatives, particularly those sponsored by States of the region. Defenders were also able to share their concerns with the United Nations (UN) Special Representative of the Secretary-General on human rights defenders and with the Defenders Unit at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights (IACHR).
