International Service for Human Rights

In this section you will find a collection of ISHR statements, made either individually or jointly with other NGOs. When relevant, statements made by other NGOs are also listed. We have organised the statements into five broad categories:

• Focus Areas: Statements pertaining to ISHR's focus areas, including women human rights defenders, NGO participation, standard setting, national human rights institutions, and sexual orientation and gender identity
• Human Rights Council: On questions ranging from the institution-building process of the Council and its new mechanisms to themes addressed by the Council
• Treaty Bodies: Statements on the treaty body system and treaty body reform
• Other UN Bodies: Statements made at or pertaining to the General Assembly, the Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, and the Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR)
• Regional Systems: Statements made by ISHR and other NGOs during activities carried out in countries or in the context of national or regional human rights meetings such as the African Commission or the Asia Pacific Forum
