International Service for Human Rights

General comments comprise of interpretations on the content of human rights provisions by respective treaty bodies.  Discussions on the content of draft general comments are often held in public meetings, and where possible ISHR reports on the drafting process in order to inform NGOs, national institutions and other relevant parties of developments, so that they may wish to make contributions to the drafting process. The following section provides reports on ongoing draft general comments, as well as an historical record of previous discussions on adopted general comments. 

The adopted general comments of all human rights treaty bodies are compiled annually in the document HRI/GEN/1/Rev.9 (Vol.I). The most recent version is available here .
