Security Council
|
The Security Council, established by the United Nations (UN) Charter, has primary responsibility under the UN Charter for the maintenance of international peace and security. It is composed of five permanent members: China, France, the Russian Federation, the United Kingdom, and the United States, in addition to ten non-permanent members.
