ISHR's mandate: to support human rights defenders PDF Print E-mail

alt

The International Service for Human Rights (ISHR) is an international NGO that supports human rights defenders in their work by providing them with training, information, and strategic advice. ISHR is also involved in advocacy for the improvement of international and regional human rights systems, aiming to make these systems more responsive to the needs of human rights defenders.

Through our extensive training courses in Geneva and in countries, we help human rights defenders to engage with the UN and regional human rights systems. Human rights defenders who have already attended our courses and successfully used international and regional protection mechanisms for human rights defenders have some great success stories to share. We complement our trainings with information, simple guides, and analysis on the UN and regional systems.
