On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 10th anniversary of the UN Declaration on Human Rights Defenders, we have prepared a special anniversary page that displays testimonials from human rights defenders on how they feel these two declarations have helped them promote and protect human rights and what challenges remain, and statements made by the UN Special Rapporteur on human rights defenders and other regional human rights mechanisms.
